Prowess Consulting is seeking a skilled Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team. This role involves a blend of process documentation content creation, documentation management, and tactical tasks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
This is a 3-month contract role that can be worked remotely from one of the states listed below; however, collaboration with teammates centered in the Pacific time zone will be essential. No third-party agencies, please.

The Role
As a Technical Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with content creators to document their processes.
- Ensuring consistency in documentation practices across the organization.
- Troubleshooting issues related to document generation, formatting, and publishing.
- Collaborating with technical teams to resolve any challenges.
- Managing documentation tasks within Azure DevOps.
- Tracking progress, updates, and deadlines.
- Reviewing and validating editorial changes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborating with editors and content creators.
Qualifications
- Understands C, C++, or other code languages and data structure constructs.
- Detailed oriented and can spot minor issues.
- Previous experience as a Technical Documentation Specialist or in a similar role.
- Outstanding Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and consistency in documentation.
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication: Clear communication is essential.
- Can follow directions and a rule set and is not afraid to ask questions.
- The offered base pay range for this position is $49 to $54 per hour, depending on geographic location and experience. Note that base pay ranges may vary for different work locations within the US, which allows for competitive pay and consistency in different states.
- Full-time employees (defined as working 30 hours or more per week) within the US have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, basic life insurance, a 401K plan with matching, well-being benefits, education benefits, and other benefits.
- Full-time employees based in the US receive 11 paid holidays per year, in addition to accruing paid time off based on tenure.
